The main gate to the Ohyamazumi Shrine

This is located in Oh-mishima Island in Ehime Prefecture.  Oh-yamazumi

is the head shrine of Yamazumi Shrines and Mishima Shrines.

This is a newly-rebuilt gate with lots of money spent.

This is the gate to the main shrine, in which the god of the sea and

the god of war are enshrined like Konpira Shrine in Kagawa Prefecture.

Many people including the members of the Maritime SDF and the Japan

Coast Guard come and worship here.

Commander in chief of the former Japanese Imperial Navy, Isoroku Yamamoto,

is said to have given his prayer.

Many old trees are found in the precincts of the Shrine.

This tree is said to be around 2,600 years old.

Some tens of thousands of Japanese swords and armors were dedicated to

the God, praying for victories and celebrating victories since the 12th century.

This shrine has 8 items designated as national treasure and 75 items designated as

important cultural asset.
